My name is Judianne Reynolds and I live in Glen Allen, Va.  When my kids were young and I was at home, I loved participating in several volunteer roles.  When my children were older, I was fortunate to go back to work as a Controller with an ice-skating rink management company.  While I enjoyed working, my volunteer time decreased.  Since my retirement in 2022, one of my goals is to give back to others and volunteer more.  I heard about Makindu when my good friend, Jean and her husband Davied participated in the walk.  They shared what a life changing, phenomenal experience it was.  Since then, I have wanted to share in this experience and was lucky to be invited to join Jean and friends for the Walk in July 2024.  Going to Africa has always been on my bucket list and being able to help the Makindu children and organization enhances this dream.   I look forward to visiting and helping this community of children and am extremely excited to go on this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
