July 20: Kickstart your adventure as you touch down in Nairobi. We will be ready to whisk you away from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to the serene Jacaranda Hotel, where an authentic African buffet awaits to welcome you.
July 21: Venture south to the paradise that is Hunter’s Lodge. Nestled amidst lush gardens of Kiboko Springs, the lodge is home to over 100 species of birds - an ornithologist’s dream come true!
July 22: Embark on an exhilarating hike up Mt. Mielu, an extinct volcano that promises panoramic vistas, and maybe even a glimpse of majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro. Post the climb, continue your journey to Makindu, where a heartwarming welcome and delicious lunch await at the Makindu Children's Centre. Culminate your day with a dinner at the historic Sikh Temple in Makindu and retire at Hunter's Lodge.
July 23: Engage in meaningful service projects at the Centre. This could involve painting, farming, or even building benches. Lunch will be served at MCC. End your day with dinner and rest at Hunters Lodge.
July 24: Experience the untamed beauty of Tsavo West Game Park, one of Kenya's esteemed elephant reserves link. Delight in lunch at the Kilaguni Game Lodge and return to Hunters Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
July 25: Proceed towards Soysambu Bobong Camp on the enchanting Laikipia Plateau. John and Amanda Perrett from Bobong Camp will welcome us with warm hospitality, dinner, and drinks. Settle into the canvas tents equipped with comfortable cots and linens.
July 26-29: Embark on an exciting 4-day Camel Safari across the scenic Laikipia Plateau, covering 25-30 miles. Whether you choose to walk or ride a camel, you will have exceptional opportunities to observe wildlife in their natural habitat.
July 29: Conclude your Camel Safari and head towards the Nakuru area. Spend your night at the Alps Hotel - where you can truly experience the difference.
July 30: Rise early for a day at Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its rhinos, buffalos, and flamingos link. Later, travel back to Nairobi, retreating to the familiar comfort of the Jacaranda Hotel.
July 31: The Proper Walk & Safari concludes, leaving you with a heart full of memories and a camera full of breathtaking shots.
