I am Sonja Hawkins, a quality assurance analyst with Advanced Management Strategy Group’s Defense Health Agency (DHA) Wounded Warrior Project. I’ve always wanted to go to Africa, and being a part of this mission will be very rewarding to me. I will be able to share my kind spirit with the children at the Makindu center by engaging, listening, and speaking to them about themselves and their future. This journey will lead to more missions that I plan to embark on. Showing humanitarian duty will be so fulfilling, as I know that it will resonate with the children’s souls after I’m gone.
