Katherine Elliott

Thank you for considering support of the Makindu Children’s Program. I am honored to be part of the 20th Anniversary Proper Walk & Safari, a fundraising experience and adventure for a cause.

While I will take care of my own expenses for this once in a lifetime trip, all funds donated will go to support the orphaned and vulnerable children living in the village of Makindu, a town in eastern Kenya. These children, and millions like them, have been orphaned by the AIDS pandemic. East African regions, like Kenya, are amongst the most affected by HIV in the world and are home to the largest number of people living with HIV.

Over $900,000 has been raised for the Makindu Children’s Program since its inception. In 2021, 575 children benefitted from the services provided by this 501(c)(3) organization. Such services included education, nutrition, health, government empowerment, as well as providing goats, trauma counseling and house repairs.

Please help me help these children. It would mean the world to me.

With heartfelt thanks,

Kandy Elliott
