I am Imani Shipp. Acquisition Analyst with AMSG, interior designer, storyteller, poet, daughter, sister and friend. Being a part of this trip is important to me in many ways. Being able to give back to the elderly women in the community who help take care of the orphans at the Makindu center as well as their own extended families is important to me. I want to show my gratitude for this mission by sharing my gifts with the Tribe, and the Safari walkers. The gifts of storytelling and poetry. Writing chants to keep the safari walkers motivated, reading poems to keep everyone filled with faith, courage and gratitude during our journey and a willingness to keep pushing and never give up during the hard days.
