My name is Gloria Lynn Daniel. I was born and raised in Carlisle, Pennsylvania by my mother. I am the eldest of her three children, mother of three young men, and grandmother of seven. I enlisted in the U.S. Army several months after graduating high school. I served my country for 24 years in the Military Intelligence Corps and then retired. I have an Associate of Science in Management from Hawaii Pacific University, an Associate of Applied Science in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College, and a Master of Theology from North Carolina College of Theology.
Besides my maternal responsibilities, I have been involved with youth ministry since at least the 1990s. I was appointed Pastor of The LINK Youth Church at Calvary’s Rock Church Fellowship Ministries on June 3, 2018. Together with a team of five adults, we are directly responsible for providing spiritual education, leadership opportunities, mentorship, and servicing children ranging from 1st to 12th grade, and partnership with their parents. Our mission is to enlighten, equip, empower, enable, and assist children in embracing and reaching their full potential in life. Additionally, I am an AMSG employee selected to participate in the 2023 Proper Walk & Safari supporting the Makindu Children’s Program.
I look forward to partnering, collaborating, learning, and sharing my experiences, knowledge, skills, abilities, gifts, and talents with the children and families associated with the Makindu Children’s Project. I believe the same principles previously mentioned translate and result in creating opportunities, having a positive impact, instilling hope, cultivating courage, nurturing confidence, operating in boldness, and motivation to forge ahead into a future knowing their purpose, can achieve the desires of their hearts, believe nothing is impossible, and become successful influencers in this world.
