2014 Proper Walk in the Oregonian

The upcoming 2014 Proper Walk for Makindu Children’s Centre was recently featured in the Oregonian! “Sure, you’ve run a marathon, you’ve cycled 100 miles, you’ve finished a triathlon, but you probably haven’t walked 120 miles through Africa’s Great Rift Valley,” writes Wendy Owen. “The walk-a-thon of a lifetime will raise funds for the Makindu Children’s Program, based in Brownsville. It is the seventh Proper Walk for the organization, which requires good hiking boots and the ability to get along with the camels carrying your supplies.”
